Cusco, Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of the Incas

Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire, without a doubt one of the best tourist destinations on earth, is one of the most beautiful cities. Its unique mixture of cultures has given this place the perfect atmosphere for any tourist. There are no words to describe Cusco and its attractions, but we must mention the Natural and Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the wonders of our planet; the beauty of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, with towns like Pisac (with its handcraft market) and Ollantaytambo. You will marvel at the ruins of the Sacsaywaman fortress, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of Wiracocha, Cusco Cathedral, Lares and its lost comunities. You will surely be dazzled by the variety of festivities, processions, Inca ceremonies, and local food and drink that you will be able to experience day by day. You can also visit the Lares Valley and its lost communities. You will surely be dazzled by the variety of festivities, processions, Inca ceremonies, and local food and drink that you will be able to experience day by day. The Sacred Valley of the Incas, originally called Yucay by the Incas, is located in Cusco department; it spreads along the Vilcanota River, covering the area between the towns of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. With an altitude of 2800 meters above sea level, mild climate and 2 well-defined seasons - the rainy season and the dry season - very few places can compete with this rich valley, chosen by the ancient Peruvians. Nowadays a must among tourist destinations, where you can enjoy the beauty of the landscape, the rich history and culture, plus the chances to do extreme sports and adventure.
