The “City of Kings” and capital of Peru was founded by Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro on January 19, 1535. At 170 meters above sea level and with a population amounting to over one-third of the country’s total, Lima is characterized by a cultural blend and a great number of attractions. In Lima you can find impressive pre-Inca pyramids surrounding the city, beautiful beaches, good museums, in the downtown area, an active nightlife, fun bars, great restaurants, and the charisma of its people. All of this in the charming combination characteristic of a South American capital city. Some of the most remarkable attractions are San Francisco church, the Archeological and Anthropological Museum of Peru, the Cathedral, the Main Square, The Gold Museum, the Miraflores and Barranco districts, the modern Larcomar and Jockey Plaza shopping malls, Huaca Pucllana (an archaeological site), and the impressive structures of Pachacamac.

Day 1 | Lima
Transfer in to your hotel in Lima.
Day 2 | Lima
Early morning breakfast and transfer to the Villa swamps, paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers with more than 100 species of birds, then we visit the Pachacamac archaeological complex (31km south of Lima), visit to the ceremonial center and return to Lima. After lunch city tour with visits to the Miraflores district, downtown Lima, the Main Square (Plaza de Armas), the Cathedral, Barranco artistic district, and a panoramic view of Lima city in the Morro Solar.
Day 3 | Lima
This day we will take a Yacht tour to the Palominos Islands a natural fabulous spectacle produced by the peruvians cold sea birds and sea lions: Callao bay and La Punta Bathing beach, El Camotal (Part of sumerged Callao on 1746), San Lorenzo islands, El Fronton island, Cabinzas islands and the Palomino Islands. The city of Caral, located 182 km north of Lima, in the Valley of Supe; considered the oldest civilization of America, with more than 5000 years old, almost as old as Egypt, Mesopotamia, India and China. The City of Caral is formed by a group of pyramids, that let us see the large artistic, technological, and scientific advances that they achieved, surprising development compare to the total isolation and the cultural exchange of the cultures in the old world. Thanks to the discovery of this archeological city of Caral, now we have a new chronologic vision of the cities in America and the world.

We will pick you up at 6:30 am at the designated meeting point; we will take the north Panamericana highway until arriving to Vegeta town. Then we take a road through ditches, plantations, accompanied by the typical flora and fauna of the region. Also we will have the opportunity to observe the irrigation canals in this desert zone, bean cultivation zones, caña brava, corn, yuca and the interaction with the local communities. Arrival to the archeological city of Caral and a guided visit. Here we will be able to appreciate the different constructions: 7 monumental pyramids, in two of the pyramids we can see the architectural distribution of the first civilization of Peru and America. These constructions also have an amphitheater, central plazas, residential areas and religious centers. After the tour we will go to the popular town called Barranca where we will have lunch; we suggest the famous typical Peruvian dish called Tacu–Tacu with shellfish. Return to the city of Lima at the designated meeting point. |

The Lomas de Lachay National Reserve is located 105 Km north of Lima. It covers an area of 52070 hectares. This Lomas are a result of a combination of climatologic factors typical from the coast, regulated by a particular geography. They happen at the point of contact between the mist coming from the ocean and the first slopes of the western Andes. In Lachay you can find 2 seasons very marked, the more remarkable wet season that goes from June to November, and the dry season from December to May. In the Lomas of Lachay has been registered 74 species of plants, 25 of them in danger. Apart from the biodiversity of the reserve we find there, cave paintings ( pre-history paintings drew by Peruvian ancient people ) and an archeological site of pre-Inca cultures. As well as rocky formations of granite and diorite which with the time and erosion has molded them into interesting geologic forms. |

Day 1 | Lima - Lachay Lomas
At noon we will pick up from the agree point, from here we star our adventure; we will travel for about 2 hour to our first destination Paradise Beach. Here there is a pond formed with salt water from the ocean, first bird watching spot, as this is part of the migrating coast corridor.
Arrival to Lomas de Lachay reserve at approximately 1 pm.
After a delicious lunch we visit the interpretation center of INRENA (National Resources Institute)
Dinner and bonfire before we go to sleep.
Day 2 | Lachay Lomas - Lima
After breakfast we star the walk, it is important to start early as it is the time with more activity of wild life. With duration of about 4 hours, in this walk we can admire the beauty of the landscape, the flora and fauna always with the interpretation of our naturalist guide, who will explain the importance of this place.
After lunch we return to Lima. |
