one earth peru expeditions 2009, manu national park

Due to the great success of our 2009 Manu Expedition and to the marvelous destination, in 2010 we did once again our Expedition to the Manu National Park, place of great importance by its great cultural and natural diversity.

The expedition took place from November 20th to 26th. In this opportunity the trip was 7 days long; we returned to the Cloud Forest, the Shipeteari Native Community and the Manu Medicinal Center where Mateo, our Chaman was expecting us, for the traditional Ayahuasca ceremony; once more, an enriching experience for those who did it. Some of the highlights of this expedition were: A nine hours walk through the middle of the virgin forest and the larger Macaws Collpa of the park. Also in this trip we could interact more with the Machiguengas and Harakumbut native communities, which we admire more each day. As for the observation of fauna, we could observe many species of birds, white caimans and one black caiman, constrictor boa, golden boa and much more.

As usual the trip was a complete success and we want to give a special thanks to all the participants because it was a great group.

The participants of this expedition besides our business partners were:
  • Samuel Gargate
  • Milagros Zarate
  • Juan Carlos Quevedo
  • Javier Heredia
  • Patricia Alonso
