There are no words to describe the Natural and Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the new 7 wonders of the world; with an altitude of 2800 meters above sea level, mild climate and 2 well-defined seasons - the rainy season and the dry season - very few places can compete with this rich valley, chosen by the ancient Peruvians. Nowadays a "MUST" among tourist destinations, where you can enjoy the beauty of the landscapes, the rich history and culture of our country and experience real adventure.
 
 
   
     
Day 1 | Cusco - Piskacuchu - Wayllabamba
We depart from Cusco and travel to Urubamba where we stop briefly at Ollantaytambo, where you can buy last minute gear and personal care products. Then, we move on to Piskacuchu (Km 82) and start of the Inca Trail. Along the way we visit the Llactapata archaeological site.

Day 2 | Wayllabamba - Warmiwanusca - Pacaymayo
We start the day, early in the morning, climb up to the highest point of the Inca Trail. Here, we can see different ecological zones and microclimates, which make up the area, mapped out in front of us. We cross the Warmiwañusqa pass at 4,200 meters / 13,780 feet above sea level.
  Day 3 | Pacaymayo - Chaq’icocha - Winaywayna
We continue climbing up to the second pass on the Trail (3,900 meters / 12,795 feet above sea level), and along the way we visit Runcuracay archaeological site. During the day walk, we also visit Sayacmarca and Phuyupatamarca archaeological remains.

Day 4 | Winaywayna - Machu Picchu - Cusco
We begin the final leg of the trek to Machu Picchu - the Lost City of the Incas. First, we walk to the "Inti Punku" (Sun Gate), where we take in a panoramic view of Machu Picchu. After this we come down to the Machu Picchu Citadel and we have a tour of the Sanctuary Citadel. After the tour of Machu Picchu, we take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town where we have some free time afterward to enjoy the town.
     
NOTE: Campsites are subject to change according to our guide's criteria and the evolution of the group.
     
     
INCLUDED: Transfer by bus from Cusco to Inca Trail / Entrance ticket to Inca Trail & Machu Picchu / Bus ticket from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes / Train ticket from Aguas Calientes to Cusco / Professional Guide (English speaking) / Cook (In charge of meals preparation) / Porters to carry camping equipment and food / Porters to carry your backpack (Maximum 12 kg) / 2 people in each 3-person-capacity tent / Mattress (sleeping pad) / Dinner tent / Special biodegradable bathroom tent / Kitchen tent / Tables and chairs, table settings / First Aid kit, including emergency oxygen bottle / Transfer from Train Station to Hotel. Meals: 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners, 3 snacks (Candies, juice, cookies and fruits) and 3 tea times at around 5 pm.
 
NOT INCLUDED: Sleeping bag / Single accommodation / 1 Extra porter (12 kilos) / 1/2 Extra porter (6 kilos) / Buffet lunch in Aguas Calientes.
 
 
 
 
   
 
 
 
  THINGS YOU CAN NOT FORGET  
  Things that you should bring along with you:  
     
 
  • ORIGINAL PASSPORT. (Mandatory)
  • A medium day pack. (If you have an extra porter bring additional backpack of duffel bag)
  • Sleeping Bag. (To include in your backpack if you have your extra porter)
  • Poncho or rain jacket. (Especially in January, February, March, August, September, October, November and December) (You can buy plastic ponchos)
  • Strong footwear, ideally for trekking or sport shoes.
  • One complete change of clothing. (Trousers, T-shirt, shorts and underwear, beanie, scarf, gloves, fleece sweaters, hat)
  • Flashlight and batteries. (One per person)
  • Camera, film and extra batteries. (The batteries consume more quickly under cold conditions)
  • Sun block.
  • Insect repellent.
  • Toiletries, towel and toilet paper.
  • Snacks: biscuits, energy bars, chocolate, etc.
  • Swimsuit. (If you plan on visiting the hot springs at Aguas Calientes after the trek)
